Finishing touches put on Rose Bowl Parade floats
Before the big Rose Bowl game, fans will get to take in one of the most colorful sights in California, the Rose Parade!
It takes months to make all the floats for the famous parade. On Friday, Brad Hicks got an exclusive tour of the pieces of art.
They were actually put together in a warehouse in Azusa, which is right outside Pasadena. The basic structure is a metal frame, covered in chicken wire. From there, they throw on a coat of paint and start decorating with flowers. The UW sign is even made of colored seeds!
When taking a look at the Oregon Ducks helmet, sports fans may notice the logo is in a different spot. For the Rose Bowl the team put the logo on the top of the helmet. They even got a futuristic-looking uniform to match it.
