FOND DU LAC (WITI) -- Fond du Lac Fire Department responded to a report of burning garbage in the roadway that came from a Waste Management recycling truck.
The truck had been traveling on Highway 151 towards the main terminal on Hickory St when the driver noted smoke was coming from the load. After noticing flames, he turned off onto Larsen Drive and dumped the load onto the roadway and called 911.
When fire crews arrived, they extinguished the burning materials and cleaned the debris from the roadway.
There were no injuries reported.
