TOWN OF FARMINGTON (WITI) -- Washington County Sheriff's deputies and firefighters from several departments were called out to a home for a report of a chimney fire on Tuesday, March 24th.
The fire was called in shortly before 4:30 p.m. from a home on Wesley Ct. in the Town of Farmington.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders observed a working chimney fire that appeared to have spread into the home’s attic.
The Boltonville Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Fillmore, Kewaskum, Newburg, and West Bend Fire Departments.
Firefighters remained on scene once the flames were extinguished -- conducting overhaul operations.
The exact cause of the fire is not known at this time and the matter remains under investigation by deputies and fire officials.
