First ever Barbie Cafe opens in Taipei, Taiwan

TAIWAN (WITI) -- Barbie has been a doctor, a dancer, a mermaid and a princess, and now Barbie is adding restaurateur to her resume.

The very first Barbie Cafe opened in Taipei, Taiwan on Wednesday, January 30th. 

Little girls and ladies enjoy the pretty in pink decor for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. 

The affordable menu, with most meals costing about $10, lists calorie counts for every dish, including some decadent desserts. 

The cafe owners, the Sinlaku Taiwan Company sunk $1.7 million into building the 7,100 square food cafe.

They say this is the first such cafe Barbie maker Mattel has authorized.
