Five charged following armed robbery in McGovern Park

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Five people have been arrested and charged for their connection to an armed robbery of two individuals in McGovern Park on Thursday, July 18th. The accused, 19-year-old Cashmeir Williams, 19-year-old Randall Lee, 21-year-old Quinten Webb, 19-year-old Lasherrian Neal and 18-year-old Iessha Watson, face up to 80 years in prison if convicted on the armed robbery charges.

The criminal complaint indicates that the two women who were robbed went to McGovern Park to meet a recent boyfriend of one of the women, Randall Lee, who had invited them to a cookout. Randall was accompanied by four others, Cashmeir Williams, Quinten Webb, Lasherriana Neal, and Iessha Watson.

When the victims returned to their car, Williams approached one of them and put a gun to her neck and demanded her purse. When she resisted, Williams began pistol-whipping the top of her head multiple times, and the gun went off, not striking anyone.

The suspects fled, taking the purse, and Neal and Watson took the victims’ cell phones as one tried to call 911.

Williams, who has a prior felony conviction for Carrying Concealed Weapon (CCW), was wearing a Department of Corrections GPS ankle bracelet at the time of the robbery, and had an active violation of parole felony warrant.

“The GPS bracelet only serves to allow a criminal to escape accountability for their behavior. A GPS might tell you where a person is, but it can’t tell you what they’re doing," Sheriff Clarke said.

The victim suffered cuts and bleeding from the back of her head. She picked all five suspects out of line-ups.

The subjects face up to 80 years in prison on the armed robbery charges.Williams, who has an extensive criminal history, faces an additional 10 years on the Felon in Possession of Firearm charge, and Webb faces an additional 9 months for the misdemeanor CCW charge.
