Five people hurt after car crashes at Sherman & Teutonia in Brown Deer



BROWN DEER -- Police are investigating a serious crash that happened at the intersection of Sherman and Teutonia in Brown Deer on Saturday morning, April 16th.

The wreck, which involved a single car, happened just before 6 a.m.

According to police, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was operating the vehicle while traveling northbound on Sherman, lost control struck an electric pole.

Officials tell FOX6 News there were five people in the vehicle -- all taken to a hospital. The driver suffered serious injuries. The other four occupants of the vehicle, one male juvenile and three female juveniles, had non-life threatening injuries.

Brown Deer police were on the scene with River Hills police, Bayside police and North Shore Fire and Rescue. Investigators with the Wisconsin State Patrol were also assisting the investigation.

Preliminary investigation indicates speed was likely a factor in this crash.
