Five teens arrested after burglary leads to police pursuits in North Shore communities

WHITEFISH BAY (WITI) -- Five teens are in police custody after a string of events that unfolded in North Shore communities on Wednesday morning, March 25th.

Officials say around 9:15 a.m., a resident called the Brown Deer Police Department to report two unknown vehicles parked in their neighbor’s driveway and a group of individuals removing items out of the house. Thanks to the witness, officers were able to respond to the residence and observed both vehicles as they began to flee the scene.

The vehicles fled in different directions with squads in pursuit. One car fled into the City of Milwaukee, but was unable to be located after officers terminated their pursuit due to unsafe speeds which reached in excess of 100 m.p.h. It was later learned this vehicle was stolen.

The other vehicle, also stolen, fled into Fox Point and Whitefish Bay.  Officers from Brown Deer, Bayside, Fox Point, Whitefish Bay and Glendale worked together to locate the five suspects after they fled from their vehicle which had been disabled due to the deployment of stop sticks.  Five suspects ranging in age from 15-17 years old were taken into custody.  No one was hurt during this incident.
