Flight for Life called to Super 8 in Mount Pleasant



MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Mount Pleasant police tell FOX6 News a woman was taken to the hospital following a domestic situation that ended at the Super 8 Motel on Oakes Road.

Police say it began at a home on Calvin Lane. Police got a call for a man and woman involved in a domestic problem, and we're told there were reports of a woman being dragged from a home.

A vehicle was tracked to the Super 8 Motel in Mount Pleasant -- and a FOX6 News crew was on hand as that vehicle was loaded up into a tow truck -- confiscated as evidence in this case.

Police say a woman was taken to the hospital from the Super 8 Motel via Flight for Life.

The extent of that woman's injuries is unknown -- but those injuries are believed to be serious.

Police say the woman's injuries may have been caused by a sharp, blunt object.

Police tell FOX6 News there is a history of domestic abuse involving the man and woman in this case.

Police say they have a man in custody.
