LA CROSSE — Southwestern Wisconsin residents are dealing with flooding, mudslides and blocked roads.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning Wednesday morning for Richmond and Crawford counties. Local law enforcement reports mudslides have closed both lanes of Highway 35 south of Lynxville. Water on the Kickapoo River is elevated with minor flooding expected.

To the west in Iowa, a flash flood warning is in effect with law enforcement reporting major flooding in Decorah, Spillville and Freeport.
