Fond du Lac garbage fire spreads to outside of home; nobody hurt
FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A fire in two large garbage cans spread to the exterior of a Fond du Lac home early on Monday, Dec. 16.
Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue was dispatched to the residence on Martin Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. Monday.
When they arrived, crews found two large garbage cans on fire next to the house. The fire extended to the side of the home damaging siding and utilities.
The firefighters quickly knocked the fire down and entered the home to check to see if it spread inside. There was no damage to the interior of the home, officials said.

There were no injuries reported.
Fond du Lac Fire Rescue Fire Investigators is working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
