Former president Bill Clinton to campaign in Green Bay for Obama Friday
MADISON (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton will campaign Friday, October 19th in Green Bay on behalf of President Barack Obama's campaign.
Clinton's visit was announced Tuesday, October 16th by the Obama campaign. No other details were made public.
His visit comes on the same day that Michelle Obama plans stops in both Racine and Wausau to promote early voting. In-person early voting begins in Wisconsin on Monday, October 22nd.
Clinton's last appearance in Wisconsin came in Milwaukee in June just before Gov. Scott Walker's recall election.
Recent polls show Obama with a narrow lead over Republican Mitt Romney in Wisconsin. The state is one of about nine states both sides continue to fight vigorously over.
Janesville-native and GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan held a rally Monday in Waukesha.
