FOUND! Milwaukee police locate 74-year-old James Hatten
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department has located 74-year-old James Hatten, who suffers from Dementia and is on medication.
A concerned citizen observed Hatten wandering and looking confused in the area of 47 and Vliet around 8:20 p.m. The citizen flagged down a motorcycle offer who took Hatten into custody. Hatten is in good health and has been returned to his care facility.
Hatten went missing from a group home (1624 N. 19th st.) and was last seen at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday by the staff.
Hatten told the staff that he was walking to his sister's house near 17th & Meinecke when he left.
Hatten has done this in the past and has always returned to the Group home. Hatten never made it to his sisters, and a relative reported seeing him walking south bound across the 16th street viaduct Thursday.
