Franklin firehouse in the running for a kitchen makeover
FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Firefighters work long days and put their lives on the line to keep us safe, so it's important Franklin firefighters fuel up with a good meal. However, the kitchen at one Franklin fire station could use a little TLC.
"We cook two to three meals a day. It's basically our bonding time and to kind of decompress throughout the day from any calls we had," Franklin firefighter Brad Polaske said.
"The last time we had any work done in this kitchen was 1989. At that time, our department had about 1,000 calls in an entire year. Now we're almost 3,500 calls a year," Franklin Fire Department Battalion Chief Kurt Stueck said.
