Georgia apparent murder-suicide; Milwaukee family mourns victims

An apparent murder-suicide in Georgia has connections to Milwaukee.

Mollian Johnson, 43, formerly of Milwaukee, was among the victims.

Police in DeKalb County were called to an apartment for a welfare check over the weekend. They found five people shot to death: Johnson, her two grandchildren, their mother and the suspect.

"I just wish this never would have happened," said Monique Davis, Johnson's cousin. "Domestic violence is real. I watch this stuff all the time. I watch all kind of crime. I never knew it would come this close."

The other victims were identified as 25-year-old Kaylyn Samuels, 5-year-old Jedorah Powell and 1-year-old Jontavious Powell. Police identified the suspect as 42-year-old Jonathan Darden. 

Johnson's family created a GoFundMe online fundraiser to bring all four victims back to Milwaukee.
