Germantown police conduct "high-risk traffic stop" of stolen vehicle
GERMANTOWN -- Germantown police say three people are in custody after their officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop on Thursday afternoon, February 4th.
The traffic stop happened around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Appleton Ave. and County Line Rd. The officer involved noticed a vehicle that had suspended registration. He stopped the vehicle in the same general area.
Upon further investigation, the officer found out the vehicle had been reported as stolen through the Milwaukee Police Department. Once additional officers arrived on scene, a high-risk traffic stop was performed.
All three subjects in the car were transported to the Washington County jail on various charges. They range from operating without the owner’s consent, the same charge while being a passenger, two had probation holds and one drug charge. All three persons had felony criminal records.
