Germantown police investigating daytime home burglary; say suspects rang the doorbell
GERMANTOWN (WITI) -- Germantown police are looking for the person(s) responsible for a home burglary that occurred on Tuesday, December 30th.
It happened during the daytime/morning at a home near Pilgrim Road and Donges Bay Road.
Police say the suspect(s) parked a vehicle on an adjacent street and walked to the victim's home -- ringing the doorbell. When no one came to the door, the suspect(s) went to the rear of the home, pried off window screens and tried to force open the windows.
The suspect(s) eventually kicked open a rear door of the home and took electronics from the home.
Police say this burglary may be related to other daytime burglaries that have been occurring in nearby communities recently.
Police are encouraging folks to be alert for suspicious vehicles and suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
