Gov. Scott Walker says Jeb Bush decision on 2016 doesn't affect him
MADISON (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's decision to "actively explore" running for president doesn't affect his own consideration of getting into the race.
Walker was asked Tuesday about Bush's comments and decision to form a new political operation to raise money.
Walker says Bush's action "doesn't affect me one way or another." Walker says whether he decides to run for president will be "based upon me, my family and my state and what I may or may not be able to do for my country not based on anyone else who may or may not be in the race."
Walker says Bush's comments also don't accelerate his timeline for making a decision. Walker has not said when he would make up his mind.
