Gov. Walker approves $6.6 million repaving project at airport
MILWAUKEE -- Gov. Scott Walker approved Tuesday, June 26th a $6.6 million project to repave a portion of the main runway intersection at Mitchell International Airport.
Officials say the project will improve pavement conditions at the airport's main runway intersection.
The project is scheduled to begin this summer and is not expected to cause any significant disruptions to airport operations.
The state and Milwaukee County are expected to contribute $827,500 to the project, with the Federal Aviation Administration contributing just under $5 million.
