KENOSHA COUNTY -- FOX6 News has obtained exclusive video amid an ongoing death investigation. The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is handling this case after a body was found on Saturday, September 26th.
In late September, one would expect to see activity in a cornfield such as that along County Highway A in Paris Township in Kenosha County -- but on Saturday night, the stalks were lit up not by a combine, but by the flashing lights of Kenosha County Sheriff's investigators.
Scene in Kenosha County where deceased man's body found
The investigation began around 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
Tim Hanson found the body. He says he was with a friend on that friend's uncle's property Saturday when they noticed the top of a van or truck in the distance on a neighboring property.
"We just wanted to see if there was somebody out there hunting or something and we could see a vehicle facing the corn. It was definitely off the driveway," Hanson said.
The man's body was found in a cornfield off Highway A. The owners of the property let a FOX6 News crew in on Sunday, but declined to comment for this story. However, they say they were told by investigators this death did appear to be suspicious.
"I went up to the driver`s side. The window was down and he was definitely deceased in the vehicle," Hanson said.
Last week, Kenosha police sent out a release about their search for a man who had been reported missing.
But as of Sunday night, there was no official word on the identity of the victim found in Kenosha County.
