Hundreds show up to support Sikh community at Faith Builders Church
MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee church opens its doors to the Sikh community as hundreds of people turned out to support those affected by the mass shooting earlier this month. Members of the Sikh community got a standing ovation walking into the Faith Builders Church.
Janniel Manswell from Faith Builders Church says, "We as a community would like to open up our doors, and our hearts to those members who are suffering."
Representatives from the Sikh temple talk to the crowd about their faith, and surviving the shooting rampage. Members of the victim's families say they've felt the support of neighbors in recent weeks. Kamwardeep Singh Kaleka said, "The local community has shown a tremendous amount of love, and we just hope that it grows from here."
After being welcomed into Faith Builders Church, members of the Sikh community invited everyone to come to their temple and meet them.
