"I knew this man was a poacher:" Hunter accused of killing 'Bow Tie' to be formally charged
WAUWATOSA -- A hunter still on the hook. The Department of Natural Resources says next week, it plans to issue formal charges to a man who allegedly poached a well-known deer named "Bow Tie," in a Wauwatosa park. At that time, the man's identity will be released.

It happened on Sunday, December 13th when a man with a crossbow came to the area near the Menomonee River Parkway -- near Highway 100 and Hampton -- near the Oak Leaf Trail, and shot Bow Tie.
"I don't know if it is an emergency. A guy shot a deer in the county property," said Jim Bagley.
Jim Bagley, a hunter himself, called 911 after he saw the poacher shoot Bow Tie.
"I saw a blood trail right on the ground, I knew this man was a poacher on county land. I know there's no hunting here. It's real obvious to a lot of people there is no hunting here," said Bagley.

Police and a DNR warden came out but the hunter disappeared.
While social media is discussing the loss of the park buck, what about the poacher who was caught not long after? One source tells FOX6 News, he is remorseful and thought he could hunt in the park. He had just gotten his crossbow two days before, as a present.
Others say he was boastful about how many deer he killed, saying on social media deer heads were in his garage -- and he didn't have enough room for all the trophies.
That new crossbow that was a gift was seized by the DNR.
The hunter is expected to be charged by Tuesday, with a series of violations for hunting a deer in a Milwaukee County park.
