MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) — The Marquette City Police Department has released the name of the 37-year-old Wisconsin man who died participating in a mountain bike race.
Police say Peter Bausch died during the Ore to Shore race Saturday, August 9th.
Foul play is not suspected in his death. An autopsy has been conducted by the coroner's office and the results are pending.
Police say they began searching the area Saturday afternoon after a participant was overdue at the finish line. Bausch was discovered unresponsive near the race course. Police say they were unable to resuscitate him.
