MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A new analysis of what moms would make if they received a paycheck for all they do has found Mom would have taken a pay cut this year.
The take home pay for everything from cooking, cleaning and laundry to handling family finances totaled just under $60,000 for a 90-hour work week.
Insure.com says that is down from last year, when Mom would have earned significantly more.
Experts say it is part of a trend, where typical wages for some domestic jobs have fallen.
Meanwhile, Insure.com asked mothers to rate how much THEY think they're worth, and the majority of mothers said they believe they should be earning between $20,000 and $30,000 -- about half of what analysts say they would make.
As for Mom's favorite tasks, Insure.com says moms enjoy cooking, shopping for the family and planning summer events -- while Mom hates cleaning up, yard work and dealing with family finances.
