WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Another potential 2016 contender landed a book deal, this one to come out next year just ahead of the midterm elections.
Rep. Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican and the 2012 GOP vice presidential nominee, will write a book on the state of the conservative movement, according to the publisher Twelve, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing.
The book, "Where Do We Go from Here?" is set to hit bookshelves in August 2014.
"It will challenge conventional thinking, renew the conservative vision for 2014 and beyond, and show how it is essential for the well-being of our communities and the future of our nation," read a release for the book.
According to the publisher, the contract will be submitted to the House Ethics Committee for approval, and Ryan will not receive an advance from the publisher, per House rules. However, the eight-term congressman and House Budget Committee chairman will receive royalties from sales.
The new title marks Ryan's first solo book. In 2010, he co-authored "Young Guns" with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy.
Other potential White House candidates have announced book deals, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with Simon and Schuster, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo with Harper Collins, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with Sentinel.
Ryan, like other potential candidates, has not said whether he plans to run for president in 2016. Public opinion polls indicate the congressman would have a good shot in a Republican presidential primary. According to a recent CNN/ORC International survey, 16% of Republicans said Ryan would be their choice for the GOP nominee, putting him only behind New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 17%. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky took 13%.
