SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- An investigation was underway Monday, Dec. 23 after a Green Bay man fled from a traffic stop in Ozaukee County. He was later arrested for a warrant and on drug charges.
Officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office said the man was initially hiding from deputies in the Oostburg area.
This, after officials said he fled a traffic stop in Saukville -- but was not pursued. He later ditched the vehicle, which was located in the Town of Holland. Deputies found heroin inside the vehicle when it was located.
A search for the man began around 2:30 a.m. Monday in the Oostburg area, where they said he knocked on a number of doors and believed he kicked in a garage door in an effort to hide from authorities.
Sheriff's officials offered a description of the man and asked for help locating him before announcing his arrest Monday afternoon.
