CHESTER COUNTY, Tennessee — Rescue found the body of two-year-old Noah Chamberlin on Thursday afternoon, January 21st, according to WREG.
Noah went missing on January 14th while walking through a wooded area with his grandmother and sister.
The boy was found dead by rescue crews about a mile from the home.
“It was a tragic accident,” Chester County Sheriff Blair Weaver said through tears. Weaver was adamant no foul play was involved in Noah’s disappearance.
On Wednesday, January 20th, the search crews added a few hundred more acres to the more than 1,000 already searched. Law enforcement had covered roughly 1,000 acres of land searching for Noah. He was found on the outskirts of an area previously searched.
Police have asked the public to keep the victim's family in their thoughts and prayers.
