"It's everything I could've hoped for:" Fans flock to see ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

BROOKFIELD -- Star Wars fans have been heading to theaters around the clock since "The Force Awakens” opened Thursday night, December 17th.

The force is strong at the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield as Star Wars super fans like Jeremiah Clark stayed up all night to watch the movie he's been waiting to see since the big announcement was made.

"It's everything I could've hoped for. I haven't been this excited for a film since I was a kid," said Clark.

People have been seeing "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" since it opened Thursday night -- as the Majestic Cinema is staying open 24 hours a day through Sunday.

"Just looking at today, there are so many people coming in here, even at 6 a.m. shows 100 people showing up. So it's way bigger than I thought it was going to be," said Adam Levetzow, Majestic Cinema of Brookfield.

By Friday morning some people were already back at the theater to see it a second time.

"As long as it's playing, I'll come see it. I really can't give you a number now. I know in 1999 when the "Phantom Menace" came out I saw it 58 times," said Peter Baker, Star Wars fan.

Fans are asked to show up no more than two hours before their show time. People are invited to wear Star Wars themed costumes and bring light sabers, but are asked to not bring any props that look like real weapons.

Now with a whole new generation of Star Wars fans, the wait begins as the saga continues.

"I am on pins and needles waiting for episode 8," said Clark.

Those who see the movie seven times at the Majestic Cinema can enter a raffle to see it again in a theater all to themselves. The winner is welcome to invite family and friends to join.
