MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- James Donegan changed his plea to no contest on Wednesday morning, May 22nd to a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. A second charge of armed robbery with use of force was dismissed.
Donegan is the man accused of stabbing and strangling 45-year-old Teresa Boone at Kilbourn Reservoir Park in September 2012.
The no contest plea means Donegan will not go on trial for the crime. But there will be a court trial to determine whether Donegan had a mental disease or defect when the crime was committed.
Donegan is due back in court on Monday, June 3rd. Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this developing story.
