Lawyers for Steven Avery attempted on January 17, 2006 to have the bail for the accused reduced from $500,000 to $100,000. They argued there was no reason to believe Avery would flee -- saying he had strong Manitowoc family ties and has been cooperative with authorities. But FOX6's Bob Moore reported, the motion to reduce bail was denied.
