Jefferson County pond death, 61-year-old found: sheriff

SULLIVAN, Wis. - A 61-year-old from Jefferson County was found dead in a pond Monday, June 12.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to a town of Sullivan home for a welfare check. They found the person dead in Rome Pond.

Based on a preliminary investigation, it is believed the person suffered a medical event prior to entering the water.
