Archbishop-Designate Grob currently serves as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago, where he was ordained a bishop on Nov. 13, 2020.

"For me, so much of the work is evangelization. So many people don’t know the depth of their Catholic faith or how to come to know Jesus better. The work is bountiful," Grob said. "I’m not afraid to stand alongside anyone and roll up my sleeves and work. That’s how I was formed."

Archbishop-Designate Grob will be installed as Archbishop of Milwaukee on Jan. 14, 2025, by the Papal Nuncio to the United States, Cardinal Christophe Pierre.

Grob highlighted his deep Wisconsin roots in front of seminarians on Monday morning.

"I’m a farm boy from Wisconsin. I grew up twice a day milking cows," Grob said. "I’m not afraid to stand alongside anyone and roll up my sleeves and work."

He steps into this new role as the Catholic Church continues to face challenges, including declining membership and priest shortages.
