MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The man who was shot by police inside Children's Hospital appeared in court on Monday, April 7th seeking a change in legal representation.
Ashanti Hendricks' attorney says he has had a difficult time communicating with his client -- but the judge ruled the case has gone on for too long for there to be a change.
A trial in the case was scheduled for June.
Hendricks is facing multiple charges, including bail jumping, being in possession of a gun as a felon and child abuse.
