KENOSHA CO. (WITI) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is urging drivers to stay off the roads until the winter storm begins to back off.
As of 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26th, sheriff's deputies had assisted 45 drivers who ended up in a ditch. Another 45 drivers were involved in crashes. In six other crashes, people were hurt.
Most recently, vehicles are becoming stuck in the roadway on the hills in Kenosha County. That includes County Highway W by Wilmot Mountain, County Highway F west of Silver Lake, and on State Highway 50 just west of I-94 (by the McDonald's & Brat Stop).
