Kenosha police help Mount Pleasant police apprehend retail theft suspects
MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Three people have been taken into custody in connection with a retail theft incident that occurred in Mount Pleasant.
Mount Pleasant police tell FOX6 News they were dispatched to the Walmart on S. Oakes Road around 1:41 a.m. Wednesday, April 22nd. This, after several witnesses observed three people exit the store with a cart full of merchandise before fleeing in a silver Dodge Durango.
Officers were provided with the license plate number of the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was registered in Kenosha.
Officers from the Kenosha Police Department assisted Mount Pleasant officers in locating the shop-lifters involved in this case. They were brought back to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
As a result of this investigation, a 30-year-old woman, 31-year-old woman and 54-year-old man, all from Kenosha, were taken into custody. Charges were refereed to the DA's office.
