Kenosha shooting, man seriously hurt
KENOSHA, Wis. - Kenosha police said a man was seriously hurt in a shooting Tuesday night, July 5 near 61st Street and 24th Avenue.
According to police, a vehicle struck by gunfire was found unoccupied in the road. While investigating the area, officers received information that a victim was inside a nearby house.
Officers located a 49-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. The victim is currently in stable condition and is expected to survive.
This is an open and active investigation. There are no suspects in custody.

Given the proximity to the July 4 shooting, Kenosha investigators will look at everything, but at this time it is too early to come to any conclusion about the two incidents being related.
