Kentucky murder, Milwaukee bank burglary connected: docs
MILWAUKEE - A man is accused of shooting two women in Kentucky – killing one of them – early Friday morning. Documents from his arrest show both he and the crime he's charged with committing have connections to Milwaukee.
According to Kentucky State Police, 23-year-old Roosevelt Davis of Milwaukee was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder and burglary. He was jailed in Shelby County, Kentucky, and his bond was set at $2 million.

Murder in Kentucky
The shooting happened in Springfield, Kentucky, roughly 60 miles southeast of Louisville. According to a report from WDRB-TV, Davis was in a long-term relationship with one of the victims and the two had a history of "domestic incidents."
Kentucky State Police said investigators developed Davis as a suspect and issued a statewide bulletin to locate him.

Hours later, state police said an officer in Shelbyville, Kentucky pulled over a Chevrolet Malibu for speeding.
The officer learned the driver, later identified as Davis, was wanted for a Christmas crime in Milwaukee – and later learned the car he was driving was wanted in connection to the Springfield murder, according to WDRB-TV's report.
Milwaukee investigation
According to an arrest citation, Davis said he "burglarized a bank" in Milwaukee and used the money to buy two guns and camouflage. The citation states he told police he then drove to Kentucky "for the purpose of killing" the victims.

FOX6 News went to the scene of a bank break-in near Timmerman Airport on Christmas. Milwaukee police said a business was burglarized near Swan and Hampton that day, and the suspect was later arrested in Kentucky.
The bank was closed at the time, but police said an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. The bank's website states the branch is temporarily closed.
