MENOMONEE FALLS (WITI) -- Kohl’s Department Stores announced the renewal of its partnership with Hunger Task Force on Tuesday, August 20th with a donation of $1.5 million over the next three years.
The donated money drives the Kohl’s Serving Up Supper for Kids program. It provides nutritious meals to Milwaukee children in need throughout the summer months when school meals are not available. The donation comes from Kohl’s philanthropic program, Kohl’s Cares®, which sells special merchandise, including plush toys and books, and donates 100 percent of the net profit to benefit children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.
Kohl’s Cares donation of $1.5 million over the next three years will result in more than 120,000 suppers being served annually between June and August. Kohl’s Cares partnership with Hunger Task Force began in 2009 and has since provided more than 350,000 meals to date.
