Latest: 28-year-old man dies hours after being shot near 95th & Sheridan

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, December 22nd. It happened just after 2:30 a.m. near 95th and Sheridan.

Police say a 28-year-old man, identified as Kashin Strickland, was shot during circumstances that remain unclear.  The victim was taken to Froedtert Hospital. Police now say the victim died shortly after 10 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

MPD continues to seek a motive and search for suspect(s).
