LATEST: Sheriff's officials identify two injured after semi, vehicle collide on Highway 57 in Sheb. Co.
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (WITI) -- A serious crash closed all lanes on Highway 57 near Highway 28 in Sheboygan County Tuesday morning, January 6th.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says a semi and a car collided around 8:00 a.m. in the Town of Lyndon.
Officials say a car traveling westbound on Highway 28, operated by 33-year-old Damien Payne of Port Washington failed to yield to a semi traveling northbound on Highway 57, operated by 57-year-old Donald Lunger of Brookville, Pennsylvania.
Payne and a passenger in his vehicle, 25-year-old Dustin Lecher of Adell were both injured. Payne was taken by Eagle III helicopter to a hospital in Green Bay, and Lecher was taken by Flight for Life to a hospital in Neenah.
Lunger wasn't injured.
Sheriff's deputies, along with Waldo Fire Department, Cascade Fire (Jaws) and First Responders, Adell First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheboygan Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
