Legendary Kooky Cooky House, which graced Capital Court Mall in 60s & 70s is coming back!
MILWAUKEE -- The legendary Kooky Cooky House, which graced Capital Court Mall from the 1960s through the 1980s, will once again delight families and children in Milwaukee this holiday season.
The iconic holiday attraction was brought back to life last year through a partnership between FOX6's Gino Salomone and Discovery World, and will be available to the public from the end of November through mid-January.
Kooky Cooky House
Considered a holiday staple of Milwaukee, the Kooky Cooky House is an electronic cookie factory that features dozens of moving parts that delight young and old alike as gingerbread cookies are created by Santa’s helpers. The new version of the Kooky Cooky House will be located on the second floor of Discovery World’s Technology building, and offer visitors and members an exciting holiday destination.
The return of the Kooky Cooky House would not have been possible without Gino Salomone. A longtime supporter of the original attraction, Salomone has actively saved and collected memorabilia over the years that has allowed for the house’s reconstruction. The local media personality’s passion and persistence should be credited for bringing the iconic Kooky Cooky House back to Milwaukee.
Along with meeting “The Boss” from the Kooky Cooky House, Discovery World will offer children the chance to meet Santa Claus every weekend from Black Friday through Christmas. Families are encouraged to tour the Kooky Cooky House, take photos with Santa, and even make your very own Christmas ornaments in our Kohl’s Design It! Lab.
The Kooky Cooky House will be open to the public from November 27 to the middle of January. All visitors will receive a gingerbread man cookie courtesy of The Bartolotta Restaurants. The experience is included with the price of Discovery World general admission.
