“Lend a Helping Ham:” Hunger Task Force officials asking for ham donations this holiday season
MILWAUKEE -- Hunger Task Force is looking to collect holiday hams in partnership with 102.9 The HOG and Patrick Cudahy. In conjunction with Giving Tuesday and throughout the month of December, Hunger Task Force is collecting hams as the holiday centerpiece for holiday bins that are built and distributed to local families in need.
Holiday hams – fresh or frozen – can be donated at Hunger Task Force’s Dock 1, 201 S. Hawley Court, or online for just $15 each throughout December.
Hunger Task Force encourages Milwaukee to be generous on Giving Tuesday and during the upcoming holiday season. Donated hams will be delivered to local pantries that will then distribute them to hungry Milwaukee families in time for a holiday meal.
Additionally, Patrick Cudahy will match the purchase price of any Patrick Cudahy deli or packaged ham purchase at local Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market retail stores with a monetary donation to Hunger Task Force through Dec. 31. Other sponsors of the program include RHH Foam Systems and Savaglia Investments and Planning.
Ham donations will be tallied and posted on Hunger Task Force’s electronic I-94 signboard, and online at 1029TheHog.com/ham and HungerTaskForce.org.
