SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN -- FOX6 News has begun to compile a list of communities that have declared burn bans as a result of the dry weather and heat. This is not an exhaustive list, and will likely change frequently, so check back for updates!

MILWAUKEE COUNTY

NOTE: The city of Milwaukee has a permanent burn ban that’s year-round. Other than that, burn bans are issued on a municipality-by-municipality basis. Residents are urged to check with their specific municipality.

    WAUKESHA COUNTY

                                  WASHINGTON COUNTY

                                              JEFFERSON COUNTY

                                              According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch, all of Jefferson County is under a burn ban.
