LOCATED: 60-year-old missing man found safe on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A missing man, 60-year-old Jerry Watkins, was found safe near 1st and Virginia on Milwaukee’s south side around 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2nd.

Watkins had been missing since noon on Wednesday, December 31st. He was last seen walking in the neighborhood near 18th and State.

Watkins suffers from and takes medication for dementia.  He has gone missing on previous occasions and has been located walking in various areas of the City of Milwaukee. Milwaukee police say this case was particularly concerning because of the recent extreme cold weather.
