MacCanon Brown hosts All-day Peaceful Picnic for the homeless

MILWAUKEE -- It was a special kind of 4th of July celebration for dozens of homeless people in Milwaukee. The absolutely free 'All-day Peaceful Picnic' was held on Saturday, July 4th at Pere Marquette Park.

Folks were offered a meal and plenty of entertainment as they celebrated the holiday.

There were games with prizes and activities for children to do.

Those in attendance were offered free clothes as well as fresh produce and other food. Everything was offered at no cost.

The event was hosted by MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary, who runs a homeless sanctuary in Milwaukee.
