Male victim dies after accident involving skid loader at "Roden Echo Valley Farm" in Washington Co.
WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Officials with the Washington County Sheriff's Office say a male victim died Tuesday afternoon, August 23rd after a skid loader accident on Highway Y -- between St. Augustine and Knollwood Road in the Town of Trenton.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the "Roden Echo Valley Farm."
Initial information provided to sheriff's officials indicated the male victim had been run over by the skid loader.
The male victim was located at the scene -- without a pulse. He was not breathing. One of his legs had been amputated. CPR was started and Newburg Fire/Rescue officials took over upon their arrival.
The victim passed away as Flight for Life was en route to the scene.
An initial investigation has revealed the victim was riding on a feed spreader attached to the front of the skid loader when he lost his balance and fell between the spreader and the wheel of the skid loader. The victim was ran over by the skid steer and his leg was amputated.
The victim has not been identified.
