Mammograms save lives, Mary Stoker Smith shows you how

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- FOX6 is the proud media sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk -- set for Saturday, May 3rd.

FOX6's Mary Stoker Smith has the honor of serving as the emcee. The one thing that has really struck a chord with her being involved with this event is early detection.

So Mary decided to take you into the doctor's office as she got a mammogram -- so you can see what to expect and have some questions answered.

By the way, you’re invited to join the FOX6 team – we’d love to see you down at the lakefront with us on May 3rd.  If you can’t be there in person, we welcome your donation to our team.  Every dollar will help save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.

The dollars raised through Making Strides will help the American Cancer Society continue to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research, provide free information and services to women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them.  Today 1 of every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to the American Cancer Society for help and support.

Let’s finish this fight – join us in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on May 3rd – we’ll see you there!
