Man arrested for first OWI after rollover crash on I-43
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover crash on southbound I-43 just north of Highway 100 in Greenfield early Sunday morning, and a 33-year-old man was arrested for his first OWI.
When officials arrived at the scene, the driver, Elvis Fobisong was lying in the distress lane and a 30-year-old passenger was trapped in the backseat with injuries. A third occupant was not injured.
The Hale Interchange ramps were closed for about an hour, and Greenfield Fire Rescue removed the man trapped in the vehicle.
Fobisong was transported to Froedtert Hospital due to chest and neck pain.
Fobisong was arrested for OWI-1st – Causing Injury, a Class A Misdmeanor with maximum penalty of up to nine months in jail.
