MILWAUKEE - Police are searching for the suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a Giovanni Pizzaro of Franklin on Milwaukee's east side. An unknown driver hit Pizzaro and two other people he was with -- as they tried to cross the street.
Milwaukee police said Pizzaro is a 23-year-old man. He died from severe injuries around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 near Water Street and Brady Street in Milwaukee. Pizzaro died on Sunday.
Three other pedestrians — two 18-year-old males and an 18-year-old female — sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All were taken to the hospital for treatment.
"I'm not surprised. I've had some very close calls myself," said William Hume of Milwaukee. "It's a real tricky intersection."
Police tell FOX6 this incident began as an "argument." They would not specify the motive for the dispute. At this time, officials are still searching for the suspect -- and treating the case as a homicide.

Those that frequent the area where this incident happened say reckless driving is common -- and some streets are more difficult to cross than others.
"Water Street with its turns and blind turns and stuff -- you gotta really be watching," Hume said.
