Man from San Diego, with family in Greendale, dies after medical emergency on flight to Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office say a 36-year-old San Diego man died after suffering a medical emergency while on board a flight to Milwaukee.
It happened early Monday morning, May 9th.
Sheriff's officials were notified by General Mitchell International Airport officials of a medical emergency on board a flight to Milwaukee from Phoenix around 12:45 a.m.
The flight crew reported an unresponsive passenger, unconscious and not breathing.
Milwaukee County Airport Fire Department emergency personnel removed the man from the plane and continued resuscitation measures.
Brendan Smith of San Diego was pronounced dead around 1:30 a.m. Smith's family in Greendale was notified.
An investigation is underway.
