Man pronounced dead in Greenfield Park, cause appears to be related to bitter cold
WEST ALLIS -- An investigation is underway after a 60-year-old man died on Sunday morning, February 14th in Greenfield Park -- near 116th Street and Lincoln Avenue in West Allis.
Shortly before 8:00 p.m., deputies with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office -- along with the West Allis Fire Department responded to Greenfield Park for a report of an unresponsive man. The man was pronounced dead shortly after the arrival of the West Allis Fire Department.
The incident is being investigated by Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office detectives.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office was called out to the scene -- and an autopsy is now scheduled for Tuesday, February 16th.
The cause of death appears to be cold weather related, according to Sheriff's officials. No foul play is suspected.
